When classes resume for the first time following the November directive to send students home and require them to complete their coursework online due to an uptick in cases, new regulations will be in place to monitor kids’ health.
Although some started lessons on Monday, most schools won’t be back until the following week.
The first educational institutions to resume following the Lunar New Year holiday were kindergartens, primary and middle schools, while most university students are still taking advantage of their longest winter break in three years.
Schools that are not experiencing pandemic breakouts should continue their regular offline instruction, according to National Health Commission guidelines released last month.
Mass testing will no longer be done at universities. There is no longer a requirement for faculty and kids attending kindergartens, elementary schools, or middle schools to present documentation of nucleic acid tests.
Instead, the health authorities have ordered schools to monitor staff and pupils’ health, prepare medical supplies, set up fever clinics, and establish a mechanism to keep track of the situation.
Health facilities around the nation have currently reported no new variations, and the majority of locations have passed the peak of illnesses.
A number of provincial and municipal education bureaus have mandated that schools compile a list of students who have chronic illnesses and report their Covid-19 status. Other bureaus have instructed schools to stockpile medication to treat up to a fifth of their student body
In some regions of the nation, such as the southern province of Guizhou, where long-distance running has been banned to protect children recovering from illness, additional safety measures are still in place.
