Dai Bin, a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the president of the China Tourism Academy, submitted two proposals, In order to further advance the growth of the tourism market.
These proposals suggested ways to encourage domestic tourism consumption, industrial revitalization, and a faster recovery of inbound tourism.
Dai Bin emphasised that the development of inbound tourism was the primary focus of China's tourism industry, which was created with the reform and opening up. The inbound market, however, has essentially been flat for the past three years as a result of the epidemic's effects.
Dai Bin suggested improving visa regulations and customs clearance procedures even further, easing transit limits, and making it easier for international visitors to China.
Increasing the coverage rate of electronic visas, enhancing the effectiveness of visa platform applications, and streamlining the visa and customs clearance processes for foreign visitors entering the nation are some of the recommendations he made.
He also suggested enlarging the number of visa-free zones and lengthening the time that visitors from other countries can stay there, enabling them to arrive from one location and exit from another.
