A taxi driver was filmed subduing an international student in front of the Nanning Medical University entrance, claiming that the student refused to pay a taxi fare and tried to beat him when he told him to pay.Videos shared online by people who claimed to be present at the scene show the taxi driver pinning a foreign man on the ground, asking him "Do you still wanna fight? Do you dare to fight?"
After subduing him, with help from passersby and other people present at the scene, the taxi driver called the police.In one of the clips, several security guards can be seen watching them and a person who was filming the incident can be heard saying "Beat him, he doesn't give the money and is still acting that aggressive."According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred at the entrance of Nanning Medical University in Guangxi. The foreign man involved is suspected to be an international student from the school.
The witness said he learned that the man took a taxi to the entrance and left without paying the fare. When the driver confronted him, he threatened to beat the driver and during the struggle, the driver pinned him on the ground.After receiving the report, the police quickly rushed to the scene and launched an investigation.The staff of the Binhu Police Station told reporters that the foreign man was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
