Changjiang University made a public statement on October 26th, clarifying the news that went viral online the day before. The news claimed that students at the campus were shown a pornographic video during an anti-fraud training event at a lecture hall. The statement highlighted the fact that a financial institution not related to the university went to the campus on the evening of October 25th to raise students' fraud awareness. However, a porn video was accidentally broadcasted during the event, the statement added. It is reported that the anti-fraud trainer from the financial institution showed the students a video from a specific fraud case, but as the video ended, a pornographic video followed automatically. Upon seeing the mistake, the staff present at the scene immediately stopped the video. The school said it suspended the persons involved for further investigation and vowed to strengthen the management in future events.
Some students had managed to film the broadcast before the staff stopped the clip. This prompted the vice class monitor to ask the students to delete the clip if they had filmed 'that' part, and told them not to spread it 'outside'. And warned them further, saying that they might face legal problems if they fail to do so.The vice class monitor said the pornographic video was accidentally played because the "staff's computer was infected by the virus."Add Wechat FLA5555 to ask to join the international students' wechat group.
