On November 2, according to the official WeChat of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Mutual Exemption of Visas will come into effect on November 10, 2023.According to the agreement, Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports for official business, ordinary passports and travel permits, and Kazakh citizens holding ordinary passports and proof of return, for private affairs, business activities (including negotiations, signing contracts, providing consulting services and other business activities, etc.), tourism, medical treatment, international transportation and transit reasons, can enter, exit or transit the other country without a visa, and stay for no more than 30 days per entry, and no more than 90 days in total within 180 days from the date of entry. Those who do not meet the above reasons and time limits must obtain the corresponding visa before entering the other country.The governments of China and Kazakhstan signed the Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Official Travel of Citizens in 1994, and holders of diplomatic and official passports of both sides can enter the other country without a visa and stay for no more than 30 days.
