​University Ban Foreign Students from cooking in Dorm, Heaters…

To maintain a good dormitory environment and ensure electrical safety, College of International Exchange, Shenzhen University kindly ask all students not to cook in their dormitories. 

Starting from December 12, the use of personal electrical appliances and prohibited appliances in dormitories will no longer be permitted.

This includes but is not limited to: 

• Induction cookers

• Rice cookers

• Electric frying pans

• Electric cookers

• Electric stoves

• Electric griddles

• Fan heaters

• Electric warmers

• Irons

• Blenders

• Electric kettles

• Juicers

• and other high-power appliances exceeding 1200W.

The college request all students to remove prohibited appliances, and high-power appliances from their dormitories between December 12, 2023, and December 26, 2023.

Please minimize unnecessary power strips and place them in safe locations.
