A Chinese man was arrested last night, after he tried to depart Cambodia with 4kg of crystal methamphetamine strapped to his body.A spokesperson of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia said that on the evening of March 10, 2024, at the Departure area of Phnom Penh International Airport, officials from the Customs and Excise Department of the International Airport detained a man from Taiwan of China on flight K6-818 en route to Japan.Upon examination of the body, customs and excise officials found 35 packets of white powder wrapped around the body.According to the preliminary test results from the Anti-Drug Department, the white powder was methamphetamine weighing 4,965.30 grams.At present, the suspects, exhibits and materials of the suspects have been handed over to the Anti-Drug Department to manage, maintain and proceed with legal procedures.
