Maoyan app 猫眼
Search "猫眼" (Maoyan) in the app store and download it.
Log in with your Chinese or overseas phone number, WeChat account, QQ account or Apple account.

The Maoyan Pro app is available in English, allowing you to check the sessions, ratings, real-time box office and other information of movies, but without ticketing functions.
Tiaopiaopiao 淘票票
Search "淘票票" (Tiaopiaopiao) in your app store and download it.
Log in with your Chinese or overseas phone number, Alipay account or Taobao account.

Another good choice to purchase movie tickets is via WeChat or Alipay without having to download ticketing applications.

Go to "Me," select "Services." Click on "Event Tickets." (If you can not find it on this page, click the three dots button on the top right, and then choose "Manage services.")
You will enter the Maoyan mini-program.

Click on "Movies" on the homepage (or search movies on the top search button).
It will take you to the Taopiaopiao mini-program.
The next steps to purchase tickets are the same as those for the Taopiaopiao app.
You will receive a QR code that can be scanned and a confirmation message when your purchase is successful.
When you get to the cinema, either pick up your tickets at the customer service counter or print them out from the self-service machine using the QR code or entering the ticket number.
