本系列讲座是“言聚心声：多语欧盟”专题展览的延续性活动，由上海外国语大学、欧盟委员会口译总司和笔译总司联合主办，上外党委宣传部、高级翻译学院、中国外语战略研究中心联合承办。
专题展览系统回顾欧盟口笔译服务促进践行多元语言观的过往，呈现欧盟语言服务不断成熟壮大、高度专业且面向未来的发展图景。自2021年9月正式展出以来已有大批游客预约参观，受到海内外数十家媒体的共同关注。主办方同步建设永不落幕的网上虚拟展厅，使全球各地的观众足不出户，通过云端就能参观互动。

Martina Dethlefs has been a conference interpreter for the European Commission since 2012, working from English, French, Spanish and Italian into German. Moreover, she is also active in the field of international cooperation in the Directorate General for Interpretation. In this function, she was responsible for the coordination of the EU-contribution to the Exhibition on Multilingualism in the European Union currently displayed at the SISU Museum of World Languages.

Summary: In this lecture, Martina Dethlefs will present the principle of multilingualism in the European Union and its specificities. Moreover, she will explain how an effective communication in 24 languages works in practice and will give you a glimpse into her personal experiences as an interpreter for the European Commission.
