Structural issues mainly on the supply side are the major problem that faces China's agricultural sector. This policy document calls for the improvement of structure in the agriculture industry, the promotion of "green" production, the extension of the sector's industrial and value chain, the consolidation of shared rural development and the enhancement of rural reforms.

中国农业面临的突出问题是结构性矛盾，而矛盾的主要方面在供给侧。该政策文件涉及优化产品产业结构，推行绿色生产方式，拓展农业产业链和价值链，夯实农村共享发展基础，以及加大农村改革力度。

Trump’s telephone conversation with Xi Jinping

Donald Trump has held his first telephone conversation with the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, since entering the White House, telling the Communist party leader he will not challenge Beijing by upending longstanding US policy towards Taiwan.

In a statement the White House said the leaders of the world’s two largest economies had held a “lengthy” and “extremely cordial” telephone call on Thursday evening in which “numerous topics” were discussed.

President Trump signed an executive order Friday night to keep refugees from entering the country for 120 days and immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim nations out for three months. The countries affected are Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia. This is the "extreme vetting" Trump promised during the campaign, but it still seems to have caught folks by surprise.

Many critics feel parts of Trump's order are unconstitutional and discriminatory.

Vocal crowds against the order gathered outside the White House. Foreign leaders slammed the ban. UK Prime Minster Theresa May said "we do not agree with this kind of approach." German Chancellor Angela Merkel called Trump herself and reminded the President of the United States' obligations to refugees under the Geneva Conventions. London Mayor Sadiq Khan called the ban "shameful and cruel."
