“鼠”年到底是rat还是mouse？

那么，rat 和 mouse 有什么区别呢？
根据《柯林斯高阶英汉双解学习词典》的定义，rat 指 A rat is an animal which has a long tail and looks like a large mouse. 长尾巴，体形较大的老鼠。一般指生活在室外体形较大的一种老鼠。
另外，rat还可表示卑劣的人，不忠实的人，小人。
