Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to step down as prime minister amid speculation over his health, NHK reported Friday, throwing the political center of Nagatacho in turmoil over the question of who will take over.
28日，据日本NHK消息，日本首相安倍晋三在健康问题备受外界猜测之际，决定辞去首相一职，这也使政治中心永田町陷入谁将接管政权的混乱中。
Abe is expected to speak to reporters at 5 p.m.
安倍将在当地时间下午5时的记者会上具体说明。
Abe’s health has been the subject of intense speculation since he underwent an examination at Tokyo’s Keio University Hospital on Aug. 14, and then returned for a followup exam on Monday.
自8月14日安倍在东京的庆应义塾大学医院接受检查以来，他的健康状况就引发外界猜疑。17日，安倍返回医院进行了后续检查。
The recent developments followed reports that his condition had declined since July and then worsened in early August.
此前有报道称，他的病情自7月以来有所加重，并于8月初恶化。
Abe’s first stint as prime minister ended in 2007 after only one year due to chronic ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease.

Xi stressed that the Chinese police must work wholeheartedly to strengthen people's sense of fulfillment, happiness and security, and be determined to fulfill the missions and tasks entrusted to them by the Party and the people.
习近平指出，我国人民警察要全心全意为增强人民群众获得感、幸福感、安全感而努力工作，坚决完成党和人民赋予的使命任务。
At the ceremony held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi presented Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi and Minister of State Security Chen Wenqing with the flag. Over 300 police officers present saluted the flag.

ByteDance, owner of the popular video platform TikTok, announced Sunday that it will file a lawsuit against the US government to protect its rights and interests Tuesday.
流行视频平台TikTok的母公司字节跳动23日宣布，将于8月25日正式起诉美国政府，以维护自身合法权益。
"Over the past year, we have earnestly sought to communicate with the US government, and provided solutions regarding its concerns. But the US administration disregarded facts, disobeyed necessary legal procedures, and tried to insert itself into negotiations between private businesses," ByteDance said in a statement. "To ensure that the rule of law is not discarded, and that our company and users are treated fairly, we announce that we will officially file a lawsuit to safeguard our interests."
字节跳动在声明中表示：“近一年来，我们怀着真诚的态度，寻求跟美国政府沟通，针对他们所提出的顾虑提供解决方案。但美国政府罔顾事实，不遵循正当法律程序，甚至试图强行介入商业公司谈判。为确保法治不被摒弃，确保公司和用户获得公正的对待，我们将通过诉讼维护权益。”
An executive order issued by US President Donald Trump on Aug 6 blocked all transactions with ByteDance in an effort to "address the national emergency".

Trump's directive was to take effect within 45 days.

On Aug 14, he signed another executive order, this time giving ByteDance 90 days to sell or spin off TikTok in the US.
