Salary:	FSN-9 RMB 255,750 p.a. USEFM is FP-5 USD 58,897 p.a. Actual salary will be determined by Washington D.C.

Summary:	The U.S. Mission in Guangzhou is seeking one eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Public Engagement  Assistant within the Public Affairs Section.
Work Schedule:	Full Time (40 hours per week)

岗位职责

The English and Education Outreach Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Public Engagement Specialist (PES) and receives some work guidance from the Regional English Language Officer (RELO). The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Coordinates Consulate public diplomacy (PD) education and English language engagement with Emerging Voices (EV) audiences, reaching youth, minorities, and those who influence them through outreach to secondary schools, promotion of American Studies content and curricula in institutions of higher learning, and promotion of academic study in the United States through Education USA advising programs. Conceives, develops, and implements both in-person and virtual English language teaching and learning projects and activities, and organizes teacher training and professional development opportunities for English teachers.
