《偷偷藏不住》作为热播网剧也引发了弹幕（bullet comment）热潮，当段嘉许向桑稚告白时，弹幕区俨然成了观众们的“暗恋树洞”，众多网友将不敢宣之于口的暗恋通过弹幕的形式倾诉出来。
这里的“树洞”比喻一个可以让人袒露真心且不用担心秘密被泄露的地方。“树洞”可以直译为 tree hole 吗？其实是可以的，China Daily 就将“树洞帖”翻译为 tree hole post：
