国际社会赞扬中国遏制疫情蔓延举措

中国正在全力遏制新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情蔓延。巴林和菲律宾等多国官员积极评价中国为抗击新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情所做努力，坚信中国一定能战胜疫情。

巴林驻华大使安瓦尔·阿卜杜拉致信称赞中国在疫情防控方面透明、公开、快速的应对，称这展现出中国应对和管理疾病爆发的强大能力。

Bahrain praises China's massive and enlightened response to combat the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) epidemic, Bahrain's ambassador to China said in a letter hailing the endeavor of the Chinese government and its health community.

The Chinese government has responded rapidly and transparently to this unpredictable and tragic epidemic, demonstrating its strong public health capacities and resources to respond to and manage disease outbreaks, Ambassador Dr. Anwar Alabdulla said.

“这种冠状病毒在许多动物中很常见，但在人类中却很罕见，因此这种疫情的爆发是不可预测的，中国果断采取有力措施更值得称赞。”

"The coronavirus is common in many species of animals but rare in human beings, making such outbreaks unpredictable, and thus the decisive response of China is even more praiseworthy."

安瓦尔·阿卜杜拉还表示，中国率先公开新型冠状病毒全基因组序列，这大大缩短了对新冠病毒肺炎的检测时间，加快遏制疫情。

We laud the leadership and resolute action of the Chinese health authorities in being the first to post the full genome of the 2019-nCoV in the genetic sequence databases of the Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data and the U.S.'s GenBank, he said, adding this action has greatly accelerated the detection and containment efforts on this virus.

他在信中写道：“与此同时，在世卫组织公共卫生紧急计划、多国卫生组织及国际卫生组织，还有武汉人民等多方共同协作下，研究出病毒的传播途径、传播行为、严重性，制定有效遏制病毒的措施——这种协作在这场病毒狙击战中必将起到决定性作用。”

"In parallel, collaboration with the WHO's Health Emergencies Program, many national and international health organizations and, of course, the Wuhan people, on effective containment measures and studies of the behavior, severity and transmission of the virus is a huge undertaking that will prove to be decisive in this battle," the letter read.

安瓦尔·阿卜杜拉十分赞同世界卫生组织总干事谭德塞的观点，即中国政府的疫情防控措施是负责任和有效的。他同时强调中国“需要世界的团结和支持”。

他补充道：“世卫组织承诺‘根据以往应对疫情的经验，全世界正在齐心协力早日结束这场疫情。’”

他说，巴林承诺将向中国提供支持和协助，战胜疫情。

The ambassador strongly endorses the sentiments of the director-general of the WHO in praising the leadership and huge commitment of the Chinese government and people, while reinforcing that China "needs the world's solidarity and support."

"The WHO reassures us all that 'the world is pulling together to end the outbreak, building on lessons learned from past outbreaks,'" he added.

Bahrain pledges its support and assistance to overcome the tragic epidemic, said Alabdulla.

此外，菲律宾政府也表达了对中国抗击疫情的肯定和支持。

菲律宾总统府新闻部部长马丁·安达纳尔在接受央视采访时表示，在对抗疫情上，菲律宾将与中国站在一起。他说：“病毒传播没有国界，它能感染中国人、新加坡人、菲律宾人、马来西亚人，以及欧洲人和美国人。”

他在一份声明中表示：“我们呼吁公众保持冷静、清醒，并富有同情心，我们都在努力应对和遏制新型冠状病毒的传播。”

The Philippines also expressed support for China.

Martin Andanar, secretary of the Philippine Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), said in an interview with CCTV that his country will stand with China and pray for China. "Because the virus knows no borders, it can infect Chinese, Singaporeans, Filipinos, Malaysians, even Europeans and Americans," he added.

"We appeal to the public to remain calm, level-headed, and compassionate, as we all work towards dealing with and containing the threat of the 2019-novel coronavirus spread," he said in a statement on Sunday.
