隔离病毒,而不是隔离种族
当地时间2月2日,一名戴着口罩,蒙住眼睛的华裔青年站在意大利佛罗伦萨人来人往的街头,他身旁的牌子上写着“我不是病毒,我是人类,不要对我有歧视”,不少路人走上前来与他拥抱。
这是意大利的中意青年联合会在佛罗伦萨街头进行的一次呼吁反歧视的活动。

把病毒“种族化”,在疫情扩散的背景下,显然是值得警惕的。
联合国秘书长古特雷斯4日在纽约联合国总部举行了2020年的首场记者会,在回答记者关于新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情的问题时他说,当前新型肺炎疫情发展很快,在这种严峻的情况下,有时会出现针对无辜人群的歧视、侵犯人权以及污名化等行为,这令他感到担忧。
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday voiced concern about the possibility of discrimination against certain groups of people due to the novel coronavirus epidemic.
"It's easy to move into ... perspectives in which there tends to be discrimination; there tends to be violation of human rights; there tends to be stigma on innocent people just because of their ethnicity," Guterres said during a press conference.

对此,多国政府、海外华人和外国友人,都在用自己的方式传达善意,呼吁共同抗击疫情。
日本厚生劳动省决定不公布确诊患者的国籍,从日本寄回国捐赠给武汉的物资包装箱上写着“山川异域,风月同天”、“岂曰无衣,与子同裳”。1月31日,有日本学校专门向学生家长发出公开信,教育孩子注意言行,“不要对中国以及在武汉生活的人产生言论上的不平等对待”。

2月2日,加拿大卫生部长哈伊杜明确表示:“加拿大不会跟随美国和澳洲限制中国人(或去过中国的外国人)入境。我们认为禁止入境的做法现在没有支持的证据,也并不合理。”
同日,加拿大总理特鲁多亲自出席多伦多Woodside Square的华人新春拜年活动并在讲话中称“在加拿大,没有任何地方可以容忍由于恐惧和错误信息而产生的歧视,这是加拿大人永远都不能容忍的”。
"We need to support each other and stay united," Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke at a Chinese New Year celebration in Toronto on Saturday.
"Let me make it clear, there is no place in our country for discrimination driven by fear or misinformation. That is something Canadians will ever stand for," he said.
社交网络上的视频博主们纷纷挺身而出,对抗因疫情而起的不公和歧视。
在CGTN的脸书与推特账号下,也常见海外网友们的关切与鼓励。
“其他国家不应该用自己的标准去评价中国,也许是时候向中国学习了。当一些人的国家被种族、歧视、宗教分裂的时候,中国正团结起来去面对所有的挑战,享受平等,传播人道主义。”
“我真诚地希望最糟糕的已经过去,我们可以在接下来的几个星期里听到好消息。加油,那些善良的武汉人,全世界都在向你们英雄般的坚守和牺牲致意!”
需要被隔离的是病毒,而不是种族。
这应该是共识,也是常识。
