民调支持率持续下跌，特朗普：疫情防控，我们做得很棒！

据美国约翰·霍普金斯大学发布的实时统计数据显示，截至美东时间11日下午5点半，全美已经有至少37个州和华盛顿特区出现新冠肺炎确诊病例，累计确诊1037例，死亡28例。

美国疫情形势肉眼可见地不容乐观。多家民调综合显示，美国多数民众不满特朗普团队应对新冠肺炎疫情的方式，而特朗普在选民中的支持率也日益下跌。

美国公共政策民调所(Public Policy Polling)最新民调显示，51%的受访者对美国总统特朗普应对新冠肺炎疫情的方式不满。

另有39%的美国人还表示，特朗普对这种流行病的处理方式会影响他们投票给他的积极性。

The majority of Americans are unhappy with President Donald Trump's response to the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the U.S. 

A survey conducted last week by Public Policy Polling found that 51 percent of respondents disapproved of Trump's handling of the coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, 39 percent of respondents said Trump's response to the coronavirus would make them less likely to vote for him.

而美国另一家调研机构Morning Consult针对登记选民进行的最新民调显示，42%的受访选民对特朗普的疫情应对举措表示不满。

纵向比较来看，特朗普的净支持率（支持率减去反对率）在一个月内由原来的40%下滑至2%，也就是说，越来越多的选民开始表达出对特朗普的不满情绪。

Despite efforts by the White House to reassure Americans that the coronavirus outbreak is contained while cases continue to mount, voters are growing increasingly wary of the government’s response, with approval of President Donald Trump’s handling of the situation plummeting over the course of the first full month of the U.S. outbreak.

More than 2 in 5 voters (42 percent) disapprove of the president’s attempts to contain the spread of the coronavirus, according to a Morning Consult survey conducted March 3-5, while 44 percent approve. The difference — or net approval — is now 2 points, down from 40 points less than one month ago.

President Donald Trump has a negative approval rating among registered voters when it comes to his response to coronavirus, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Monday.

Forty-nine percent of survey participants said that they disapprove of how Trump has handled the response to the spread of the virus, known as COVID-19. Forty-three percent of respondents approved with how he has handled the potential crisis.

数据滞后

由于美国疾控中心（CDC）周末不更新数据，导致官方通报数据滞后，CNN等媒体不得不亲自上阵，手动核算。

医疗物资短缺

3亿多人口的美国目前只有1200万医疗级N95口罩和3000万外科口罩的储备量。

美国副总统彭斯在推特上发布了避免感染新冠病毒的方法，比如勤洗手，少聚集，但就是看不到“戴口罩”的字眼。

核酸检测的范围和速度

3月9日的新闻发布会上，美国卫生与公共服务部部长阿扎表示他也不知道“有多少美国人接受了核酸检测。”

检测费用也是个大问题。

美国副总统彭斯宣布新冠病毒核酸检测费用将涵盖在医疗保险、医疗补助和私人保险承保计划范围之内。但面对“没保险的人怎么办”这样的问题，彭斯不予作答，提出该问题的记者甚至还被现场的女助理呛道，“你大声说话也没人理你”。

有网友在推特上指出，在中国，疑似病例和确诊病例都能接受免费核酸检测和治疗。

根据美国国家统计局的数据，2018年美国大约有2750万人没有医疗保险。

其实，在美国进行核酸检测本身不会产生费用，但是坐救护车前往医院，取样、采血等过程会产生高昂的费用，很可能会导致没有保险的疑似感染者不去接受检测。

Vice president Mike Pence announced that COVID-19 tests would be covered by Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance plans.

A reporter asked at the end of the press conference, "can the uninsured get tested? " without hearing Pence’s answer and he was even blasted by the secretary, who said "screaming for the camera isn’t going to get you everywhere."

特朗普对疫情的轻描淡写已经引发外界不满，参议院少数党领袖查克舒默在推特上发文：特朗普政府似乎认为，任何问题都可以靠减税来解决，但这次可是卫生医疗危机啊！

However, many critics have said that Trump has downplayed the coronavirus threat. 

U.S. The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Chuck Schumer, tweeted on Tuesday: "The Trump administration seems to believe that the answer to any problem is a tax cut. This is a HEALTH CARE crisis." 

特朗普对疫情的应对不力，美国疾控中心大幅度削减预算，白宫撤销了国家安全委员会在应对流行病方面的职位等举措，都造成了美国人对这次疫情的不以为然。

在洛杉矶，27000名跑者参加的马拉松于8日如期举行，现场的消毒措施“形同虚设”。
