意大利、西班牙两国新冠肺炎确诊病例超3万，欧洲多地加强措施应对疫情

据最新实时统计数据显示，全球累计确诊新冠肺炎病例超过16万例，中国以外确诊数量超8.5万例。3月16日上午，#中国以外确诊病例超过中国#一度成为微博平台热搜话题。

The total number of coronavirus cases recorded outside China has surpassed the number in the country, according to live tracking from Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

As of Monday morning, a total of 167,457 cases were detected globally, with 81,015 from China and 86,442 outside China.

Italy has most cases in Europe,

当地时间3月15日18时，意大利民防部门负责人、新冠病毒应急委员会专员安杰洛·博雷利在例行疫情新闻发布会上表示，该国新增新冠肺炎确诊病例3590例，累计24747例，死亡总人数升至1809人。

The death toll in Italy surged by around 25 percent in the last 24 hours to over 1,800. The total number of confirmed cases reached 24,747 on Sunday, a jump of 3,590.

As the numbers continue to grow, Italy's medical supplies are running low and the health system is under enormous stress.

Lombardy, the heavily populated area around the country's financial capital Milan, is close to running out of intensive care beds, according to its regional president Attilio Fontana.

中国伸援手 抗疫专家组已抵达

Chinese medics arrived in Italy 

amid calls for international cooperation

此前，中国派出的医疗专家组9人已经抵达意大利首都罗马，31吨医疗物资也随包机运达。

Nine Chinese medical experts and 31 tonnes of medical supplies arrived in Rome on Thursday night as part of China's efforts to help Italy contain the novel coronavirus outbreak.

由浙江省筹措的一批26.4吨防疫物资，也已运抵意大利北方城市都灵。

Another 26.4 tonnes of medical supplies from Zhejiang Province have also arrived in northern Italy's Turin City.

当地时间15日，通过视频直播的方式，医疗专家组还向旅居意大利的中国人介绍了新冠肺炎的症状特点、预防常识、治疗手段等。

During an online livestream on Sunday, the medical team shared knowledge and information about COVID-19, including symptoms and methods for prevention and treatment, with Chinese living in Italy. 

西班牙城市街头行人寥寥无几

据西班牙卫生部15日公布的数据，西班牙较前日12时新增新冠肺炎确诊病例2000例，累计确诊病例达7753例，其中288人死亡。

Spain is reporting a big jump in COVID-19 infections, with more than 2,000 new cases overnight. And the death toll has more than doubled to 288.

为了防止疫情扩散，西班牙全国实施严格封闭措施，当地生活已然陷于停顿。

A nationwide lockdown will go into effect on Monday, but life has already ground to a halt.

3月15日，国务委员兼外长王毅应约同西班牙外交大臣冈萨雷斯通电话。

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday pledged to provide medical supplies to Spain during a telephone conversation with Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs Arancha Gonzalez Laya.

王毅说，中方已决定根据西班牙的需要，紧急提供一批医疗物资援助，并开放商业渠道供西班牙进口急需的个人防护用品和医疗设备。

The Chinese foreign minister said China has decided to urgently provide a batch of medical supplies based on the needs of Spain and open commercial channels for the country to export urgently needed personal protective equipment and medical materials.

announced in other countries across Europe:

• 当地时间3月15日深夜, 捷克政府宣布“封国”：禁止非必要的人员自由流动，全国民众居家隔离，直至24日早6时。

• The Czech Republic announced at midnight local time on Sunday that it is banning people from travel except for work, shopping and some other limited activities until March 24.

• 法国当地公共交通，尤其是长途交通工具将逐步削减运力。从18日开始，巴黎南部的奥利机场将逐步关闭部分航站楼，而北部的戴高乐机场也将在晚些时候开始采取类似的措施。
  

• France's Ecology Minister announced that the country will gradually reduce long distance transport capacity, with terminals at Orly and Charles De Gaulle airports closed from March 18. 

• 荷兰卫生部长宣布，荷兰全国的学校和托儿所将从16日开始关闭，直至4月6日。另外，酒吧、咖啡馆、体育俱乐部、饭店等营业场所也将关闭。

• Schools and nurseries in the Netherlands will remain closed until April 6, according to its Health Minister. The government also ordered the shutdown of bars, cafes, sports clubs and restaurants.

• 德国内政部长表示，德国政府计划于当地时间16日上午8点开始对与法国、奥地利、瑞士、丹麦和卢森堡五国的边境进行管控。据报道，德国国内的学校和托儿所将从本周开始关闭，直至4月底。

• Germany's borders to Austria, Switzerland, and France will be closed from 8:00 a.m. local time on Monday, according to local media reports. Germany is also closing schools and nurseries starting this week.

• 奥地利总理15日宣布，从16日起，奥地利将禁止5人以上的聚集活动，奥地利民众应进行自我隔离。从16日起，学校和绝大多数商店将关闭。此外，奥地利将暂停与英国、荷兰、俄罗斯和乌克兰的直航。

• Austria has ordered a ban on gatherings of more than five people, as well as the closure of schools and most shops. As of Monday, in addition, Austria will suspend direct flights with UK, the Netherlands, Russia and Ukraine.
