Evening curfews were also ordered in dozens of other cities in the U.S., with New York City extending the curfew to June 7. It was also the first time for the city to impose a night-time curfew since the year of 1943.

As one of the largest U.S. counties with about 10 million people, the Los Angeles County of California, also announced that they would continue to implement a curfew on Tuesday night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the local government via social media.
