八成日本民众希望东京奥运会再次延期或取消
严峻的疫情形式下，日本民众似乎正在失去举办奥运会的信心。
日本共同社的调查结果显示，约80%的民众认为原定于今年夏天举行的奥运会应该再次推迟或者干脆取消。其中，35.5%的受访者希望奥运会被取消，44.8%的受访者更希望再次推迟举办时间。
此前受新冠疫情影响，2020东京奥运会被推迟到今年7月23日至8月8日举行。
来自加拿大的国际奥委会资深委员迪克·庞德8日表示，疫情之下，他“不确定东京奥运会能否在今年夏天如期举行”。庞德曾于去年2月底就提出东京奥运会可能无法在2020年举办，是最早发表类似言论的国际奥委会委员。
东京奥组委8日则发表声明说，虽然东京都和周边三县已进入紧急状态，但东京奥运会的筹备工作仍会“认真推进”，奥运会将在今年夏天如期举行。
国际奥委会当天也针对东京都进入紧急状态发表声明，再次对东京奥运会的顺利举办表示了充分的信心。
About 80 percent of people in Japan say this year's Tokyo Olympics should be cancelled or delayed as worries mount regarding a record surge in coronavirus cases across the country, a Kyodo News poll indicated on Sunday.
The survey suggested 35.3 percent want the Games to be cancelled and 44.8 percent favored another delay. The world's biggest multi-sports event, postponed last year due to the pandemic, is scheduled to be held from July 23 to August 8 in the Japanese capital.
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga declared a state of emergency for Tokyo and three surrounding prefectures on Thursday and could extend the measure to other areas as Japan struggles to contain a surge in infections.
According to the survey from Kyodo News, about 79 percent said Suga's decision to call the state of emergency for Tokyo came too late.
据东京奥运会组委会去年12月公布的数据，在决定延期之前，东京奥运会的预算经费就达到了1.35万亿日元（约合人民币841亿元），决定延期后，赛事的预算提高了2940亿日元（约合人民币183亿元），预算增加了21.8%。
