CNN新冠纪录片上线，医学专家说了些啥？

当地时间3月28日晚，美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）发布最新专题纪录片 《COVID WAR: The Pandemic Doctors Speak Out》，采访了6位曾在特朗普政府任职期间应对新冠疫情的医学专家。

美疾控中心前主任：

“新冠源于中国实验室”

在CNN的纪录片中，美国疾病控制与预防中心前主任罗伯特·雷德菲尔德宣称，“新冠病毒起源于中国的一个实验室。”

Robert Redfield, former director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), told CNN in a new documentary that the coronavirus could have escaped from a lab in Wuhan. He said it was circulating months before it came to the public's attention in December of 2019.

“这是我自己的感受。只是（我的）看法。我现在可以发表看法了。”

"That's my own feelings. And only opinion. I'm allowed to have opinions now."

在今年2月举行的新闻发布会上，中国-世卫联合专家组已明确表示病毒实验室泄露导致病毒传播的假说可能性极低，多名世卫专家组成员也多次强调“新冠病毒极不可能来自实验室泄漏”。

However, the WHO's research team in Wuhan said there was no evidence that any labs in China were working on the virus prior to the outbreak.

联合专家组成员，荷兰科学家玛丽昂·库普曼斯在接受美国全国公共广播电台采访中说，他们在两周的调查内“还原了疫情刚暴发的细节”，并表示目前来看，新冠病毒“极其不可能”源自武汉的实验室。

Marion Koopmans, a Dutch virologist from the international team of experts, told NPR that they "reconstructed every step in that initial outbreak" in the two weeks of investigation and stressed it was "extremely unlikely" that the coronavirus originated in a lab in Wuhan.

前任白宫新冠疫情应对工作组成员德博拉·伯克斯（Deborah Birx）则在片中指出，如果美国从第一波疫情中吸取教训，就完全有可能有效减少新冠死亡人数。

Dr. Deborah Birx, who coordinated the White House coronavirus task force under former President Donald Trump, believes the COVID-19 death toll in the U.S. would have been substantially lower if the government had responded more effectively.

"There were about 100,000 deaths that came from that original surge," Birx said. "All of the rest of them, in my mind, could have been mitigated or decreased substantially."

特朗普政府“没有提供一致的消息”

"The federal government did not provide consistent messaging to the American people and that is fault number one," Birx said.

What's more, Birx mentioned that "all the doctors" working on U.S. coronavirus response received death threats, including her daughters who got very "rude text messages."

特朗普曾打来一通“非常不舒服”的电话

伯克斯还透露，她在公开谈论新冠病毒的传播性之后，曾接到特朗普的一个“让人非常不舒服、非常直接且难听”的电话。

Birx also said in the interview that she received a "very uncomfortable" call from Trump after describing how widespread the virus was in an interview with CNN in August, during which she told people living in rural areas that they were not immune.

"I got called by the president," she said. "It was very uncomfortable, very direct, and very difficult to hear."

对美国疫情形势的判断：

仍处在非常危险的境地

当地时间28日，美国国家过敏症和传染病研究所所长安东尼·福奇在接受美国哥伦比亚广播公司（CBS）采访时表示，美国新冠肺炎日增确诊病例数依然维持在高位，再次出现激增的可能性依然很大。

根据美国疾控中心28日的最新数据，目前美国新冠病毒变异株感染病例已接近11000例，其中，在英国发现的变异毒株感染病例占绝大多数。

除了新冠病毒变异株，福奇认为春假出行和防疫措施解除等也是造成新增确诊病例数上升的原因。

The number of confirmed cases in the U.S. remains high. More than 542,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the U.S., according to a Reuters tally, and almost 30 million have been infected.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the country has reported at least 11,000 cases of the coronavirus variants, with the vast majority originally detected in the UK. 

Dr. Anthony Fauci said in a CBS interview on Sunday that spring break travel and the relaxation of mitigation measures was also driving the still-high number of infections.

美国疾控中心主任瓦伦斯基26日表示，近七日美国平均每日新增病例为约5.7万例，和此前七天相比增加了7%，近七日的新增住院数也呈上涨趋势。瓦伦斯基说，她对美国疫情曲线的走势感到担忧。

The CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky was also concerned about the number of new infections and hospitalizations rising again in the past 7 days.

"If we don't control things now there is a real potential for the epidemic curve to soar again."
