无人机空袭对阿富汗无辜平民产生了巨大威胁。亲历者扎尔米娜回忆称，“（空袭）是很危险的，也令人非常痛苦，我们都很害怕”，“（空袭之后）在我家水管旁边发现了人的皮肤碎片，我无法分辨那属于妇女、儿童，还是其他人”。

Drone strikes pose a potentially deadly threat to innocent civilians. Zarmina, a witness to one such attack, recalls the terror of not knowing who might be hit. "It was dangerous and painful. We were scared," she says. "Next to our water pipeline there was a piece of skin. I had no way of knowing whether it belonged to a woman, child, or someone else."
