How Did It Become China’s National Treasure???

Crystal Huang GuideinChina 2018-11-07

With such a mysterious force of the east, it began to roollllllll on the spot, and everyone who saw it thought it was adorable.

Yep, it's panda!

The national treasure of China.

Pandas became tourist favorites in various ways, but mostly by being cute.

The International Panda Festival is held on September 22nd every year.

In 1993, Chengdu held this festival to commemorate the 10th anniversary of China's campaign to save the giant pandas, and has since then been designated as the venue to hold this amazing event every year.

Regardless of what they do, pandas are absolutely adorable. Every one of their moves is an attention-grabber.

A fall can be voted as the best photo of the year.

All they do is eat and sleep. Every day.

Sometimes, they may meditate for a while.

Based on long-term observation

We found that pandas like to do two things

The first is to grab your legs;

And the second is to run for their freedom.

When they get naughty,

you'll still think they're cute.

And then?

When you blame it for being naughty, they’ll be friendly again in no time.

Look at its innocent eyes… SO. CUTE!

They love rolling around in excitement.

They give birth to their babies super casually… No big deal.

Wow, what is that? Surprising!

Their relationship is soooo moving. Look at that!

Get away, I need to finish my meal.

Oops...

Little panda:" No one knows what I've been through. "

What if it gets too hot in the summer?

Quite smart!

Some pandas also understand how to take a proper selfie. This one’s trying out a few different angles. Look! Face! Smaller!

It also tilts its head slightly

But if you think pandas became China’s national treasure just by being cute, you’re wrong!

It isn’t just because it‘s a rare and unique animal to China. They are also ancient animals from ancient times.

Based on fossil evidence, pandas have experienced about 2.5 million years of change, yet their body structure has barely changed.

So pandas are respected as living fossils.

 No.1

Though pandas are very cute, their teeth are quite sharp.

There's annotation in the TV series “The Classic of Mountains and Seas” that nicknames pandas as “iron eaters” from ancient times.

In the annals of history, the Huang emperor used pandas, tigers and leopards as assault weapons to defeat the Yan emperor in battles.

 No.2

A vegetarian predator.

Because of the poor taste of bamboos, other animals do not like it.

Add to this the wide distribution and abundance of bamboo, and pandas stay in the bamboo forest all year round.

It can also avoid confrontation with other large carnivores.

Get rid of negative factors and pursue a better life.

 No.3

In addition to eating, sleeping, playing and other daily pleasures, pandas actually have a very important job: they’re diplomats.

China has given pandas to other countries as a national gift since the 1950s.

In 1982, China stopped giving pandas to foreign countries for free and started a "panda lease" program instead.

A short-term loan of pandas to a foreign zoo will be paid by the other party.

“Bei bei” in the United States

In 1994, China reached an agreement with international animal protection agencies.

A pair of healthy, fertile pandas could be sent to other countries for a decade of collaborative research.

The offspring produced during this period are owned by the Chinese and must be returned to China by the age of four.

The first baby panda born in France, “Yuan Meng", celebrated her first birthday at the Beauval safari park in Beauval, France, on August 4, 2018

The Netherlands spent RMB 51 million to create a luxurious "pavilion" with strong Chinese decor for their pandas.

When the pandas arrived by plane, the Netherlands also sent a large number of police cars to clear the way.

The Canadian prime minister smiled at the panda.

Panda Xiang Xiang at the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Japan

Xiang Xiang panda made its public debut in Japan in 2017, becoming one of the country's hottest stars.

Because of too many people, the usual operating hours of the zoo were seriously affected, to the point where it had to limit the number of visitors and set up a lottery.

......

These cute pandas always get so much attention.
