Every country in the world has its own law, and the legal system is an important word in the legal circle. In order to facilitate the comparative law study involved different countries and regions. The legal system is divided into two major legal systems: The civil law system and The common law system.
The civil law system is the general name of the laws of many countries based on the ancient Roman law, especially the Napoleonic Code in the early 19th century.
The common law system is the general name of laws developed on the basis of British common law. Since the 11th century, it has gradually formed a unique legal system mainly based on the common law derived from Germanic customary law.
So what is the difference between civil law system and common law system?
