Hit musical Chicago is coming to Beijing this November

The Broadway super-hit comes to China with full sass, pizazz and all that jazz

'Murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and treachery… all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts' – no, we're not talking about a Saturday night out in Sanlitun, world-famous musical Chicago is coming to Beijing.

A huge Broadway hit that has toured the world and was adapted into an Academy Award-winning film, Chicago is set in the 1920s, Prohibition-era Windy City, telling the story of rival vaudevillian murderesses Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart and their battle to avoid death row while simultaneously striving for the fame they oh so desire. It's also got a suitably killer soundtrack, including the awesome 'Cell Block Tango' and 'All That Jazz'.

The show is coming to the Tianqiao Performing Arts Center from November 1-18 (though tickets are currently only available for the first four days) and you can book your seat through Time Out Tickets. The cheapest seats are already sold out, with remaining tickets ranging from 380-1,180RMB, and discounts available for tickets bought in pairs.

This isn't the only Broadway hit to arrive in the city this year, with Kinky Boots, Cats and Rent set to grace the Beijing stage, while multi–award-winning play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time premiers this weekend.
