Could you introduce the band members one by one?可以分别介绍一下乐队每一个成员？

On this 2017 tour we are going to be acompanied by Jesús Neri "Baqui" on drums and electronic pads, Karla Alcocer on Violins, Melodica, Piano and vocals and I (Paul) will play Guitars, Piano, Melodica and Vocals. This year we will be featuring multiinstrumentist Cesar Beltrán on Bass, guitar, voice and piano.

在今年2017年巡演中我们会加入鼓手和键盘Jesús Neri "Baqui" 、小提琴Karla Alcocer，口风琴、钢琴还有声乐，我(Paul) 负责吉他、钢琴、口风琴和声乐。今年我们还有一大特色就是加入万能乐手Cesar Beltrán玩转贝斯、吉他、声乐和钢琴。

 Could you simply describe how did you get to the music?能简单介绍下乐队每个人是怎么走上音乐这条路的？

When i was very little my big brother taught me how to play a couple of songs in a tiny piano: "Happy Birthday" and "Sobre las Olas" by mexican composer Juventino Rosas. That was my first approach, after that i realised i liked to make up melodies and invent lyrics. I started musical formation when i was in my teens, in junior high i started playing in the school orchestra; i tried different instruments a bit but eventually settled into guitar. I formed a couple of bands before i started making electronic music which would eventually turn into what was the first 'Childs' songs.

我很小的时候，我哥哥就教我怎么弹"Happy Birthday" 和"Sobre las Olas"这样的钢琴小曲，"Sobre las Olas" 是来自墨西哥作曲家Juventino Rosas。那是我音乐的启蒙，之后我意识到我喜欢编写旋律创作歌词。我十几岁就开始音乐创作，初中时我就开始在学校管弦乐队演奏。我尝试了不同乐器但最后锁定吉他。在我开始制作电子音乐之前，我组了几个乐队，那些电子音乐最终变成‘Childs’的前期歌曲。

 Why do you like anime? Why do you add anime elements to music?什么原因这么喜欢动漫？为什么要把动漫元素加入音乐？

It's a very appealing to see animation with mature content and philosophical themes. Like a hyper reality that exists in another plane. From a Child's perspective is very atractive and better to undertstand.

看动画是非常有吸引力的，动画中存在很多成熟的内容和哲学主题，就像超现实存在于另一个平面。从孩子的角度非常吸引人也更好去了解。

 Why is the band named“Childs”?乐队为什么起名为Childs？

The term Child is very strong and to me It has a lot of positive value. Not everyone grows up to be an 'adult' but everyone can relate to a child and this can go both ways because there are also a lot of "adults" who are incredibly childish and seek superficial and short minded paths.

孩子时期对我来说非常强烈，有很多积极的价值。并不是每个人都能“长大成人”，但每个人都能和一个孩子相处，这两者都可以，因为也有很多“大人”甚至非常幼稚肤浅，目光短浅。

What does everyone usually like in the spare time?每个人平时有些什么爱好？

Many of us are involved in music studios and teaching music. We also have other musical projects: I have my kraut band called Montecarlo 88 (Montecarlo88.bandcamp.com), Karla and Cesar have their own band called Meltí (https://www.facebook.com/Melti.mx) and Baqui records and releases in his own studio more info on his facebook page:

 Before the band was established, what did you do?在乐队成立以前，你们是做什么的？

I used to study Computer Science in my hometown but left college to study in a Music school in Mexico City and become a musical producer.

我曾在家乡学习计算机科学，但离开学院去墨西哥的一所音乐学校学习，成为了一名音乐制作人。

Do you have any other favorite bands or singers?有没有其他喜欢的乐队或者歌手？

Two of my favourite bands are My Bloody Valentine and RIde. I've got to see them in recent years in California when they reunited and both were marvelous <3<3

我非常喜欢的两个乐队是My Bloody Valentine 和 RIde。我最近几年在加利福尼亚看见他们，那时候他们在那里小聚，他们都很了不起。

 Are there any person or events that have a big impact on the music? 什么人或者事件对音乐创作有很大影响？

The 1999-2000 turn of the century had a big effect on me. After this i felt the necesity to include apocalyptic, electronic and future themes to the music i was making.

本世纪1999—2000年对我影响很大。在这之后我觉得音乐创作中有必要加入启示录、电子音乐以及未来元素在音乐中。

What is the inspiration for every album?每一张专辑的灵感来源是什么？

The type of place i am when i am making the songs and when im producing them matter a lot. Yui was written in Ensenada which is a port city of the Pacific Ocean, very relaxed, atemporal and peaceful. 90% of Realidal was written in Mexico City which is a very fast paced nostalgic city, lots of things could happen in a day and the experiences were very ephemeral and intense.

当我在创作歌曲时，我所处的地方很重要。《Yui》是在Ensenada创作的，那是太平洋的一个港口城市，非常放松，没有时间概念很和平。实际上90%都是在写墨西哥城，这是一个非常快节奏、怀旧的城市，在一天里能发生很多事情，所经历的事情瞬息万变。

What do you want to convey to the audience in this musical style?通过这样的音乐风格想传达给听众什么？

Balance, understanding, peace, armony, consciousness and hopefully inspiration for them to achieve personal goals in their lives

平衡、理解、和平、和谐，能够影响他们，在他们的生活中实现个人目标。

 Do you have any new plans such as preparing for the new album?接下来有没有新的计划？比如在筹备新专辑吗？

Yes, we are working on new material, dont know when it will be released but we are playing a brand new song called "Niebla" (which translates as "Fog")

是的，我们正在研究新的素材，不知道将会什么时候发行，但我们演奏一首全新的歌曲叫"Niebla"（翻译为“雾”）

 Do you have any memorable experience after several years of performance?经过这几年演出，有没有比较难忘的经历？

We have visited the Forbidden City all of the times we have been there and never get tired of it, last time we even got to tide bikes around that area and was so much fun. We remember riding little cabs in Tianjin, seeing the pandas at Chengdu, In ChongQing we went to this beautiful budhist palace near a big river, The Big Buddha in Hong Kong, Nanjing road in Shanghai was amazing. We have a lot of good memories, too many to tell in words, we have pictures on our facebook and weibo for more visual memorable experiences:)

我们利用所有的时间参观了故宫，我们一直待在那里从没感到厌倦，上次我们甚至在那个区域骑自行车，非常有趣。我们记得在天津乘小出租车，看成都的大熊猫，在重庆我们去了靠近一条大河的漂亮的佛教圣地，香港的大佛，上海的南京路非常棒。我们有很多美好的回忆，太多话要说，我们把这些难忘的经历都拍了照片放在facebook和微博上。

Is there any reason for you to stop making music?会有什么原因让你们停止做音乐吗？

 我想我会一直继续创作，否则我会死。

What are your goals in music?你们在音乐上的目标是什么呢？

To keep writing, producing and releasing music when i feel its necessary

我觉得必要的时候，继续写歌、录制、发行音乐。 

What do you like best about China?最喜欢中国的什么？

The culture, the people and the food. The unity and love the people have for the same goal which is to make their country better is very inspiring to me.

文化，人们还有美食。团结和热爱人民，有着同样的目标，这样会令他们的国家更好，这非常启发我。 

Which city or region do you prefer in China?比较喜欢中国的哪个城市或者地区？

I love Shanghai a lot because the first time we went to China we got to stay some extra days there and was very pleasant to see many people from around the world. After we finished last gig of the tour we inmediately went celebrating to a party were we found some fellow mexicans, there we tried to teach our chinese tour manager and some fans from the show how to dance "Cumbias" (a musical genre very popular in Latinamerica) . Afterwards we went to an underground drumn bass club and danced until daylight. I also loved to be in Guangzhou and Shenzhen on the '14 tour, i hope i can spend more time on the south of China once this tour is over

我非常喜欢上海，因为第一次我们去中国有几天额外的时间待在那里，我们看到来自世界各地的人们非常开心。我们完成最后一场演出后立刻庆祝，和一些我们在那里认识的墨西哥人，我们尝试教我们的巡演经理和一些现场粉丝如何跳"Cumbias" （在拉美非常流行的一种音乐风格）。后来我们去了一个地下低音鼓俱乐部，跳舞直到天亮。我也喜欢在广州和深圳，我希望有更多时间在中国南方到巡演结束。 

Who is the most important person to yourself? Why?对自己来说，最重要的人是谁？为什么？

There's not one but always many people important to me: girfriend, family and friends, even people who i dont know are inspirations so they're important^^

不是一个人而是一直有很多人对我来说很重要：女朋友、家人还有朋友，甚至我不认识的人会给我灵感，所以他们也很重要。

Which part of the tour you prefer?比较喜欢巡演中的哪个环节？

The traveling sometimes is exausting but very beautiful to see the different landscapes in a few minutes, but the best part is always when we are playing to the chinese audience:)

旅行有时候是很疲惫的，但在一段时间里看到不同的风景都很美，但最好的部分还是我们给中国观众演奏。

 What books or movies do you like recently? Is there any recommendation?最近喜欢看什么书或者电影？有没有可以推荐的？

I loved the new Godzilla movie! "Godzilla Resurgence" which was directed by Hideaki Anno, creator of Evangelion and yes, its incredibly anime-like^^ Another great movies i've watched recentely and loved are: Arrival, Dr. Strange, Kong.

One book i recentely read and loved was The Drowned World by J.G. Ballard which is very on topic with the recent climatic changes in the world.

我喜欢新的哥斯拉电影，"Godzilla Resurgence" 是由Hideaki Anno导演的，新世纪福音战士的创作者，对，就是难以置信的动漫迷。另外一部我最近看过很棒的电影是：Arrival, Dr. Strange, Kong.

我最近读一本书而且非常喜欢，来自于J.G. Ballard的《The Drowned World》，内容是关于最近全球气候变化的主题。

which city or region of your country would you like to recommend to China fans?你的国家哪个城市或者地区想推荐给中国乐迷？

I would recommend the two towns that i go back in forth at the moment: my hometown Ensenada and Cholula, the last placed i lived before. Ensenada is a very turistic town near the beach, we have the most famous wine valley in the country, great seafood and is a very good place to relax. We have a famous site place that is called the "Blowhole" which is a sort of sea geyser that throws water up in the air and its located in a very beautiful part of the Ensenada beach.

Cholula is a very old city that goes back many centuries ago. There exists the biggest base of a pyramid in the world which on top of it lies a catholic church built by the spanish. You can enter the pyramid and its hidden passages. The town is very small so you can go biking anywhere and the food is delicious and not expensive.

我推荐两个小镇，此时此刻我就想回去：我的家乡Ensenada和我以前生活过的地方Cholula。Ensenada是靠近海滩的一座旅游小镇，我们有全国最负盛名的葡萄酒谷地，美味的海鲜以及非常好的休闲场所。我们有个著名的地方叫"Blowhole"，这是一种海上喷泉，能够把水喷洒在空中，是Ensenada海滩非常漂亮的一道风景线。

Cholula是一个非常古老的城市，可以追溯到很多世纪以前。这里发现一个世界上金字塔的最大基地，在金字塔上面有一座由西班牙建造的天主教堂。你可以进入金字塔隐藏的通道。这个小镇很小，你可以骑车去任何地方，吃的非常可口，而且也不贵。
