眼红用英语怎么说？当然不是red eye！

中文里有许多用颜色表达的词，翻译成英文就成了另一种样子，反之亦然。为了更好地和外国人沟通，我们一定要避免理解上的偏差。

比如最常见的眼红，千万不要说成red-eyed，它的准确译法是green-eyed。

这里就涉及颜色在中西方文化中的不同含义，中英文里的绿色都可以代表不成熟，缺乏经验，例如green hand表示新手。

但是汉语中的绿色还会表示生机、希望，而且还有侮辱人的意思，比如绿帽子，但是英语中的绿色却没有这类含义。
