Yongkang Road is a small road that can be seen at a glance. It used to be an open-air food market.
Since the relocation of the food market in 2009, the stores on Yongkang Road have developed rapidly. With more than 70 bars and restaurants, it used to be a favourite destination for party animals.
Since 2016, all the unregulated bars on Yongkang Road have been banned and replaced by a variety of funky stores.
Due to the city's development plan, part of Yongkang Road will be demolished.

A few days ago, the news that Kevin's Coffee is closing went viral among Shanghainese. The coffee shop, which has been open for nearly 30 years, has witnessed the ups and downs of Hengshan Road.
Built in 1922, Hengshan Road is called the "Oriental Champs Elysees" because of the dense paulownia trees on both sides of the road.
This year, the newly opened No. 8 Hengshan Road has made Hengshan Road popular again.
