18 Streets to See Shanghai in Spring

ShanghaiWOWeng 2023-10-13

It is the best time to take a city walk! Here are 18 highly-recommended roads in Shanghai that you shouldn't miss this spring.

In Shanghai, there are more than 5,000 roads, most of which have witnessed the city's ups and downs.

Facing urban development, roads with long histories combine new trends and retro styles together. Follow us to explore different charms of 18 roads!

Yongkang Road

Yongkang Road is a small road that can be seen at a glance. It used to be an open-air food market.

Since the relocation of the food market in 2009, the stores on Yongkang Road have developed rapidly. With more than 70 bars and restaurants, it used to be a favourite destination for party animals.

Since 2016, all the unregulated bars on Yongkang Road have been banned and replaced by a variety of funky stores.

Due to the city's development plan, part of Yongkang Road will be demolished.

Some stores on Yongkang Road will be closed soon. Pay a visit before it's too late!
