A Letter to Client from Grandall Law Firm

On the occasion of the Spring Festival, we would like to extend our best wishes and holiday greetings to you.

At the beginning of 2020, China faces another severe test as a result of the unexpected outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia. During this period, in actively responding to the country’s call, Grandall will strictly carry out relevant anti-epidemic works and carefully implement various prevention and control measures. For the purpose of ensuring the health and safety of Grandall's clients, employees and their respective family members, and on basis of the relevant requirements of China and local government authorities in the place where each of Grandall’s offices is located, arrangements for Grandall’s recent services are as follows:

1. From February 3 (Monday) to February 9 (Sunday), our lawyers will provide legal service through telephone, WeChat, email, video call, etc., unless there is any special circumstance. If any onsite service is required due to special circumstances, Grandall will take necessary prevention measures, and please cooperate by properly taking epidemic prevention and control measures.

2. For all the existing services that are still in process, we will pay close attention to the possible impact of the epidemic, and timely give notice and solution; and for dispute resolution cases pending in this period, we will pay close attention to notices of courts at all levels, arbitration institutions and administrative authorities in connection with their work arrangements during the period of epidemic prevention and control, continue to follow up and effectively respond to relevant matters, and maintain timely communication with you.

3. Isolation, traffic control, delayed resumption of work and other measures taken during the period of epidemic prevention and control may adversely affect the performance of your contract and may easily lead to labor disputes, so we kindly remind you to pay attention to it. If you have any legal issue during this special period, please contact us promptly and we will try our best to assist you in dealing with it.

4. From February 10 (Monday), Grandall’s branch offices will return to normal operation successively (please be noted that Grandall Wuhan office will be open from February 13). If the resumption of operation is subject to any further adjustment due to epidemic prevention and control requirements of governmental authorities, we will inform you thereof in a timely manner. If any of our lawyers is subject to strict isolation as required after returning to work from other places, we will, upon sufficient communication with you, offer relevant solutions and carefully protect every client’s interests.

5. Grandall Law Firm has been paying attention to social responsibilities. After the outbreak of the epidemic, Grandall has actively organized and participated in donations of money and materials to the seriously-affected areas. According to incomplete statistics, more than RMB 2.15 million worth of medicines and money have been donated so far. Also, we will organize professionals to conduct in-depth study on the legal issues that may arise during the period of epidemic prevention and control and share our study result with our clients.
