刘烈宏MWC英文“喊话”全球产业链：共赴数字经济星辰大海

5G发展不是通信业“独舞”，而是社会各界“集体舞”。

“5G商用以来，中国联通5G创新取得令人振奋的成效。”2月27日，2023年巴塞罗那世界移动通信展期间，中国联通举办的“5G创新引领 扬帆数智未来——中国联通5G创新发布会”上，中国联通董事长刘烈宏在英文视频致辞中表示，5G网络建设将由“广”到“精”，5G应用将实现从“1”到“N”跨越。5G创新的道路，需要产业各方握指成拳、合作共进。

中国联通5G创新发布会全方位展示中国联通与行业合作伙伴在5G创新方面的最新成果，共同加速数智融合创新。GSMA(全球移动通信系统协会)会长Mats Granryd、工信部一级巡视员刘郁林出席发布会并致辞。

刘烈宏指出，5G商用以来，网络品质稳步提升，实现乡镇及以上区域5G网络连续覆盖。应用规模持续丰富，5G套餐渗透率达62.5%，5G行业应用项目超过1.8万个。生态伙伴不断壮大，5G应用创新联盟成员超过3000家。

针对产业发展，刘烈宏提出三点倡议：

一是聚力打造To C和To H的5G杀手级应用。加速探索消费领域现象级应用，让广大人民群众切实享受到5G技术红利的同时，进一步释放5G网络的潜能和价值。

二是大力推动To B和To G的5G规模化应用。强化人机物连接新场景的融合创新，提高网络、终端、模组的行业适配性，加快突破标准、成本、商业模式等共性问题，更深层次进入生产核心流程，更大规模实现商用推广复制。

三是合力构筑价值共创共享的5G生态共同体。5G创新发展不是通信业的“独舞”，而是社会各界的“集体舞”。中国联通将充分发挥“纽带作用”，一头拉动ICT产业的增长，一头撬动泛终端、内容、应用的发展，带动产业链上下游实现价值共创共享。

最后，刘烈宏表示，中国联通希望与产业各方共同营造平台聚合、产品创新和资本合作的多赢5G生态，共同奔赴数字经济的星辰大海。

在被誉为“行业风向标”的世界移动通信展期间，中国联通不仅带来精彩纷呈的展览展示，而且还主办、参与5G创新发布会、网络创新成果发布会、5G共建共享指南发布会等多场活动，携手产业各方，共筑创新链、共建产业链、共享价值链，让5G真正改变社会。

Since the commercial launch of 5G, very exciting breakthrough has been made by China Unicom in 5G innovation under the guidance of the Chinese government and the support of all industry partners. Network quality is steadily improving, with 1.17 million 5G base stations covered in all towns, accounting for 30% of the world’s total. 5G applications are getting enriched, with 62.5% subscription to 5G packages and over 18,000 5G-powered industry projects. Meanwhile 5G ecosystem continues to grow, with over 3,000 members of the 5G Application Innovation Alliance.
China Unicom has implemented the new corporate strategy and identify “Big Connectivity, Big Computing, Big Data, Big Application, and Big Security” as five main business scopes, transforming our role from traditional telecom service provider to serving the digital economy.
As the focus of 5G networks shifts from “Go Big” to “Go Quality” , and 5G applications thrive from “stand-alone cases” to “diversified portfolio” , 5G innovation requires more synergy and collaboration. Here, I would like to make three proposals:
First, to double our efforts in developing B2C and B2H killer applications. With nationwide 5G networks in place, we hope that the general public can really enjoy the technology, and 5G network potentials could be further released. For example, we intend to work with all of you in large-scale commercial use of 5G multimedia messaging. By solving bottlenecks like terminals, applications and tariff, we would be more prepared to popularize 5G messaging, thus boosting another round of growth in traditional communication services after the data bonus.
Second, to actively develop B2B and B2G applications. We stand ready to work closely with different verticals to explore new scenarios in connecting humans, machines and everything. We would further adapt our networks, terminals and modules to the demands of different sectors. By dealing with common challenges such as standardization, costs and business models, we hope to get more deeply involved into the core process of manufacturing to enable 5G applications commercialized at larger scale.
Third, to foster a 5G community featuring joint contribution and shared value. 5G development should not be “a solo” , but rather “a symphony”. China Unicom will leverage its “balancing” role to drive the growth of the ICT industry on the one side, while on the other side, to boost the development of smart devices, content and applications, connecting upstream and downstream players to create and share value together. We are willing to work with all partners in nurturing a multi-win 5G ecosystem to unleash great potentials of the digital economy.
Dear friends, China Unicom is ready to join hands with all partners to foster an innovation chain, develop an industrial chain and share a value chain in 5G, so that the technology can truly deliver social changes.

二是大力推动To B和To G的5G规模化应用。我们希望携手产业各方，强化人机物连接新场景的融合创新，提高网络、终端、模组的行业适配性，加快突破标准、成本、商业模式等共性问题，更深层次进入生产核心流程，更大规模实现商用推广复制。
