Naren Young from NYC’s legendary Dante is coming to China

How many Negronis have you made over the past five days? Well, there are only two more shifts to go before Negroni Week 2018 comes to an end – but somehow we know that’s not going to be the last we see of the classic red cocktail, and thank goodness for that!
We love Negronis, and fortunately Negroni season is now rolling on with the launch of Campari’s first ever Red Hand campaign in China, which celebrates the aperitif culture and showcases a brand new bartender challenge to highlight the stories and journeys that sit behind the best Campari drinks. The Red Hand campaign now kicks off in June by bringing famous Negroni lover and bartender Naren Young from New York City’s Dante on a tour to China.
Ranked No16 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2017, Dante has been a fixture in the Big Apple for over 100 years. Even though it’s now in the hands of an Australian family, it has stuck to its true Italian heritage. As Dante’s creative beverage director, the New Zealand guy Naren manages to keep its originality, hospitality and welcoming vibes intact by serving up an excellent selection of aperitifs and digestifs. On the menu you will even find a separate Negroni section featuring 12 cocktails, including the classic Negroni family (Americano, Old Pal, Boulevardier) and Naren’s intriguing twists such as the Negroni Coffee Swizzle.
This time in China, Naren will be giving a masterclass about Dante and its aperitif cocktails, and working his magic behind the bar at four stops in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Shanghai later this month. News alert: during the masterclasses, you will also hear some advance news about Campari’s Red Hand Challenge, which will be kicking off very soon. So, come to meet the man behind NYC’s legendary Dante and find out more about the next big bartending challenge at the same time!
