The search for the most popular cocktail at MONIN CUP starts

MONIN CUP has returned! This biennial competition offers a platform for young bartenders to experiment with flavours and showcase their creativity with MONIN’s wide range of syrups. Under the theme – “Mix your Origins”– the competitors must create an international drink that combines local ingredients and local cultural influences. Only the winner will represent China at the global final in Paris, France, but everyone is part of the competition and can inspire people with their creativity.
The four regionals have already been held in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shanghai. You probably witnessed how impressive the drinks were and how fierce the competition was in one of those cities, and the next step – the China final – will take place in Shanghai on July 31. But before that, we need your help to decide which drink will be crowned the most popular cocktail at MONIN CUP this year.
Seventy-six young bartenders from all over China were selected to take part in the regionals. Each of them created a drink that embodied their personality and the city they come from. While only one bartender from each regional has made it through to the China final, the creativity of all 76 competitions deserves to shine. That’s why MONIN has now launched an online voting contest for the most popular cocktail: you not only get to know each bartender and their drink, but also show your support for your favourite.
The result of this voting won’t affect the judging of the China final – only the four regional winners will fight for the ticket to Paris. But as a separate contest among all 76 bartenders, the bartender with the most votes will receive a prize of his or her own: ¥3,000 in cash.
So, are you ready? Enter the voting page by extracting the QR code below. You can vote three times every day, and the deadline is 5pm on July 31. The winner will be announced in a follow-up WeChat post on DRiNK. Which drink is the most popular cocktail at MONIN CUP this year? The answer is coming soon.
