Last chance to show your Collective Spirit with Tahona Society!

【 This post is sponsored by Altos Tequila. 】

A few weeks ago, Altos Tequila and the Tahona Society team invited bartenders in China and around the world to take up a special challenge: come up with a project to spearhead progress across the industry; one focused on bartender welfare, social engagement, upcycling and recycling, resources and waste or the environment. Together, these five categories make up the foundation of Tahona Society’s Collective Spirit, an ongoing campaign to improve the bar and hospitality industry around the world.

To launch the campaign and spread some inspiration, Altos Brand Ambassador China Nacho del Toro and Thirsty Work Productions have been traveling around China introducing bartenders to what the Collective Spirit is about, all in hopes of rousing what could be this year’s winning idea. Next Tuesday October 16 from 1:30-5pm, the Mainland journey comes to a head in Shanghai when Altos and Tahona Society co-founder Dré Masso leads final workshop, sharing the Tahona familia’s collective passion for a better bar industry and showing how you can enact real change.

Naturally, the idea of doing good for the industry and fellow bartenders is something we can all get behind, but making it happen is another story. If you want to learn more about how to cultivate the seed of an idea into a full-grown project, this final session is one you don’t want to miss. Join us to hear more about the Collective Spirit from Dre himself, and see some examples of projects that are actually being carried out around the globe. Plus, be nice to your body with a bit of boxing and take part in a workshop led by foraging-focused head chef Elijah Holland of Botanik. If you can’t make it in person, fear not: you can also watch the workshop via livestream

Moreover, don’t forget that the October 26 deadline is fast approaching for project submissions – you can find the details here for how to submit your proposals. In case you need a little reminder of what being chosen could mean for you, hear this: the winner will get to make their big idea come to life, with 50,000USD in project funding and full support from the Tahona familia.

RSVP to the Shanghai workshop on October 16 by Wechat to Altos Brand Ambassador China Nacho del Toro (del_toro2) or Thirsty Work Productions (mohan_guo).
