Do you know there was an awesome party called ”Nightmares in Jinan” last Saturday on 4th floor of the student activity center in main campus?Do you know there were a lot of pretty girls and hot dudes in this party? Do you know there was a department called LAD investigated some of the students and staffs after the party?After the investigation, we interviewed the head of the department, Seiji, and here are the contents:Q Some students said that it is difficult to find the location, and it is not wide enough for the party. So what do you think of this problem?A: In fact, the same problem happened every year, so we have 30 minutes for everyone to find the place and we started at 7:00. To solve this problem, we have some ideas. For example, we plan to set some road signs if our school allows. Also, we may add a map into our Wechat article. The reason why our room is not spacious is that the number of participants beyond our imagination. Besides, the decoration are too big so they took too much places. QMany students thought it took too much time to wait for starting. Why happened back then? A: Actually, this situation is a accident. Some southern campus students can not find our shuttle, and the drivers of the bus remembered the wrong time. As a result, we started late. Next time we will make an emergency plan, for example, we will prepare some games. For someone arrived ahead of time.QMost of the students can not understand the video that explained the rules of games, do you think it is necessary to play this video? Or maybe let the MC explain the rules would be better? Have you ever thought to explain the rules in Chinese?A: We won’t make the video any more. Actually we just wanted to see how it goes if we play the video. But as a matter of fact, the sound track wasn’t good enough, and people couldn’t understand the rules. I think it’s better to let the MC explain the rules as you suggest.QWhat’s more, participants generally thought that the time of waiting was too long that made most of them felt boring. What do you think of this problem and how will you improve it?A: I think this is a big problem, like the time of waiting for the Maze Game was too long. The main reason for this was the Maze Game was not adjusted well. Next time, we will make a change in the respect of game, like designing the short- time games to solve the problem of queuing too long. In addition，increasing this sorts of games is also feasible.QSome participants feedbacked that the staff at the party was only for foreigners to explain the game rules but not for Chinese. That led some Chinese participants can't be well integrated into the game. Next time, will you remind the staff of noting that Chinese participant? A: It's mainly because the Chinese staff were arranged inside instead of outside of the game, like the Maze Game. This was because our members did not have a good distribution, at the same time, we did not realize that the participants did not understand the game rules. Next time we will adjust the staffing arrangement to make sure that the staff assigned evenly.QSomeone said that they were applied something terrible to their hands, so what do you think of this problem?A:I think it will be okay if we have explained clearly what it is, thus we will do so next time.QBesides, some students thought that it should be given out the food early. How did you set the time then? What do you think should be done when the party was in chaos?A: We worried that they wouldn’t play games at the beginning of the party if there was something to eat, so we asked them to play games first. The order was chaotic when students took food after then. This time we didn’t choose the right place to place food, which blocked the entrance and caused congestion. We will take it into consideration next time. What’s more, we will provide food earlier and better.Q Some students reflected that they hope the food portions could be bigger and more different kinds of food provided, how do you feel?A: We can't perfectly solve the portions problem. This is just a small party anyway, you can not expect to be full. As for the variety of food, we will consider it.QMany students couldn’t enjoy themselves at the dancing part since they were too shy to dance. What do you think can make the atmosphere better?A: We invited JNU CREW come to the party last year, the atmosphere was pretty good back then. This year we didn’t invite them and students were too shy, so it was kind of awkward. So next year we would probably invite other clubs or associations again.QAs for the propaganda, most of the students knew this event through their classmates or friends but not WeChat article. Will you consider to edit a Chinese version?A: It’s an attempt to only edit the English version article, we will edit Chinese version in the future.QWe found that some students who went to the party dressed up but some didn’t. Why not inform everyone to dress up?A: It’s because the date of the event have been put off, so we didn’t inform this.
