Pizza Party at Village Cafe (temporarily moved to LG floor)
The lobby of The Opposite House is getting a makeover and in the meantime, Village Café has moved to the LG floor opposite Jing Yaa Tang. The move comes with an exciting surprise though, as they are bringing back thin crust pizzas for a limited time (some may remember the excellent thin crust pizzas from the original Sureño). From Oct 28-Nov 6, they will be offering a selection of seven different pizzas (vegetarian options available), which also happen to be buy one, get one free from 6-9pm every day.
Coco Brunch at Q Mex Taqueria
If you're looking for something wholesome after all the horrifying things you did for Halloween, head to Q Mex Taqueria for their brunch on Sunday, Nov 4. During brunch hours (11am-3pm) they will be screening the Pixar movie Coco (see trailer below), which you can watch while enjoying food and drink specials. Try the Brunch Burros Special (RMB 70), featuring grilled and chopped beef steak, shredded cheese, and scrambled egg, wrapped in a flour tortilla topped with crispy tortilla strips, diced onions, and cilantro, served on a tomato-chipotle sauce. Add three hours of free-flow margaritas and more for RMB 188 per person.
Let's Meat! at Signature's Restaurant every Saturday
Starting Nov 3 (tomorrow), and every Saturday after, Signature's (the newly relaunched all-day dining restaurant at Kempinski Hotel Beijing) will be a cornucopia full of perfect cuts of meat. Meat lovers can expect everything from international to homemade cold cuts, smoked turkey to roasted duck, and lamb chops to roast beef. Many butchery items are homemade in Kempinski's own private butchery. If somehow you still have room after all that meat, sample a selection of made-to-order desserts, including German apple strudel.
Turkish Delights at Kerry's Kitchen
Kerry’s Kitchen, the all-day dining outlet at Kerry Hotel, will offer an enticing variety of authentic Turkish delights for a limited edition promotion from Oct 30-Nov 4. Guest Chef Ibrahim Karakoc from Istanbul will be here to showcase signature Turkish delicacies such as kısır (cracked wheat salad), sigara böreği (Turkish cheese rolls), and hünkar beğendi kebap (boneless leg of lamb on eggplant puree).
