Swiss Michelin Starred Chef at TRB Forbidden City, Oct 19-21
One star Michelin Chef Marc Strebel and his partner, restaurant manager Caroline Arlettaz, from La Maison du Village will bring their take on innovative modern Swiss-French cuisine to TRB Forbidden City from Oct 19-21. Located in the quaint village of Sauges and in one of the village's most historic buildings, La Maison du Village offers guests an unparalleled view of Lake Neuchâtel and the Swiss Alps while they dine. A self-proclaimed “curious perfectionist,” Chef Strebel’s food is simple yet elegant. During his tenure at TRB Forbidden City, he will be serving guests a four-course lunch menu (RMB 388, RMB 588 with wine pairing) and five-course dinner menu (RMB 688, RMB 988 with wine pairing) with optional wine pairing every day.
Mosto x Great Leap Brew Brunch, Oct 20
Mosto and Great Leap Brewing are teaming up to create the ultimate beer-fueled brunch on Oct 20. For RMB 248 per person, enjoy a welcome beer (Great Leap's signature Honey Ma Gold), before tucking into a three-course brunch, each including an expertly paired Great Leap brew and bottomless pours. So, what’s on the menu? Think Colombian flavors, fried green banana, crunchy pork belly with house-made barbecue beer sauce, and decadent apple pie with cinnamon crème anglaise. See this WeChat post for the full menu. Walk-ins are accepted but we feel like this one will fill up fast, so better email jimmy@greatleapbrewing.com to reserve.
Butcher's Wednesdays at Café de la Poste
Every Wednesday at Café de la Poste (6pm onwards), get up to 40 percent off marvelous meaty main courses such as steak tartare, t-bone steak, classic steak, duck breast, and more. We went back to try the food at Café de la Poste after an extended period and were impressed with what we found – this could be a good opportunity to try it for yourself.
