Anti-harassment signs: Fed up dealing with regular reports of harassment on Beijing’s public transit, the city’s Subway is hanging up signs to remind riders what they shouldn’t have to remind them of: Don’t sexually harass people! The signs are part of a campaign by the local branch of All-Women’s China Federation, a government agency that advocates for women’s rights. In addition to slogans, the signs depict men yelling at women or attempting to touch their rear ends. Again, a sign shouldn’t have to tell you, but that’s not okay! But we’re glad that the issue is brought into the public eye.
Stuck in Shenzhen: As Guangdong Province continues to wage its battle against COVID, the city of Shenzhen has ceased direct flights to Beijing, Reuters reports.
