[June 1, 12pm] COVID-19 Update: The Latest Numbers
On a daily basis, we will be updating you with information on the latest COVID-19 cases in Beijing and China as reported by the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau (wjw.beijing.gov.cn) and the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (nhc.gov.cn).
Over
the last two weeks as Beijing has rolled out mandatory citywide
testing, we've noticed a distinct increase in the number of asymptomatic
cases. In the past, it was one or two a week and were only added to our
graphic as they became classified as a confirmed (symptomatic) case.
Over
the past week, this number has climbed and thus from today, you will
note the graph now includes asymptomatic cases as a separate category.
