El Nido Plans a Weekend of Fun for 12th Anniversary Celebration

Hutong brewpub El Nido is currently celebrating their 12th anniversary and have some fun events planned for the upcoming weekend.

12 years in Beijing is no mean feat and it hasn’t always been an easy road for El Nido. Their original location on Fangjia Hutong fell victim to the great brickening of 2017, which also saw the closure of other Fangjia residents such as Fang Bar, Cellar Door and Ramo.

El Nido didn't back down, however, able to rise from the ashes, or bricks rather, and set up shop in a hutong courtyard just off Beiluoguxiang in the summer of 2018. The space was previously occupied by The Other Place, so El Nido at The Other Place was born. El Nido was also reunited with Fang Bar, which occupies the southern part of the courtyard. 

Fast forward four years and El Nido is going stronger than ever and are bringing three days of unique events to celebrate their 12th anniversary….

First up, on Sep 23 they are having a “Fermenter Direct” day where they will be bringing fresh beer from 12 domestic craft breweries to El Nido in what can be thought of as a mini beer festival. The IPAs on offer will be:

• Master Gao's Bird Land NE IPA
  

• Hacker Brewing Co's Session NE IPA
  

• Hop Fan's Liquor of Yellow River Double NE IPA
  

• Mingri Brewing's Greenfairy NE IPA
  

• Bubblelab's Juicy Rain NE IPA
  

• East Gate's Imperial Stormtrooper Imperial IPA
  

• Brewing and Co's Into East Lake IPA
  

• Lotus Brewing's Synergy Effects Imperial NE IPA
  

• The Weavery Craft Beer's Your Dream NE IPA
  

• Paper Plane Brewing's C#06 NE IPA
  

• Crazy Bear's Double IPA with Galaxy

These select beers will only be on offer for three to seven days as they have been brewed fresh.

Sep 24 will be their official 12th Anniversary Party and is also the launch date for some special anniversary related merch. They will have special edition glasses available with the motto “The glass will never be empty” printed on them along with two limited editions t-shirts, with only 50 of each available. 

Then, on Sep 25, El Nido will have their official 12th anniversary closing ceremony hosted by brewer Li Jinbao. Ahead of the weekend events they also have a "12th Anniversary Lucky Draw" going on, which started on Sep 19. Up for grabs are El Nido 12th Anniversary special edition merch, collector's edition BCBS2018, N+ Domestic and Foreign Craft Cups, beer and more.  To take part in the raffle you can stop by El Nido any time before Sep 24 to draw a ticket.
