Who remembers last year’s super fun Belt & Road Food Fest at Langyuan Station? Well, we certainly do! And we are so excited to announce that it’s back again this year! Yes, the Belt & Road Food Fest is back at Langyuan Station from Sep 16-17!

Supported by the Beijinger, the Belt & Road Food Fest will be a weekend jam-packed full of food, booze, entertainment, music, culture and much more besides!

East Meets West

This will be the fifth edition of the Belt & Road Food Fest and this year will see a whole new upgrade! Although it's primary focus is centered on business and infrastructure, the Belt & Road Initiative is also about cultural exchange, so this year there will be a special YOYO Autumn Harvest Market celebrating Chinese cultural wares.

At the market there will be nearly one hundred vendors representing both traditional and modern Chinese cultural products. The Chinese style market paired with the international food fest is the perfect combination of East meets West, allowing you to enjoy the food culture while also taking in more culture.

Tickets

Early bird tickets are now on sale for the Belt & Road Food Fest and there are a few different options to choose from:

  • Early bird single ticket: RMB 19.9

  • Early bird two-person ticket: RMB 29.9

For those of you with kids, all kids under 1.2 meters can get into the festival for free!

Another special ticket option is the “Lucky Bag” ticket (RMB 69.9) which includes a limited edition Belt & Road Food Fest tote bag with a surprise gift inside. There is only a limited number available so get one before they sell out!

The final ticket option is a combination ticket for the Belt & Road Food Fest and X Museum (also RMB 69.9). With this ticket you get entry to the Fest PLUS entry to the X Museum Triennial 2023 exhibition Home Is Where the Haunt Is.

You'll have from the date you buy the ticket until

Nov 23 to visit the exhibition, so don't miss out!

The X Museum Triennial 2023 exhibition, Home Is Where the Haunt Is, is a recurring exhibition program introduced to coincide with the opening of the institution. It has a continuous focus on emerging artists and the second edition, Home Is Where the Haunt Is, will bring together eight newly commissioned works and more than 30 recent works from 19 artists. The exhibition explores the enduring cultural connotations of ‘home’ through the eyes of a new generation of Chinese artists and their diasporic community in the context of globalization.

Langyuan Station

Just like last year, this year’s Belt & Road Food Fest will be taking place at Langyuan Station. Formerly known as Beijing Textile Warehouse, Langyuan Station is a cultural and creative landmark featuring both industrial and international style. Situated by the Ba River and adjacent to the greenery of Jiangfu Park, it’s a place where you can enjoy nature and pop-up cultural activities at the same time. There are large theaters, libraries, cultural centers, ecological co-working spaces, and 70+ popular specialty stores such as Station Grill, Deck Coffee, and Bonfire Lab.

Along with the Belt & Road Food Fest, Langyuan Station has also cultivated a series of brand activities such as international fashion shows, exhibitions, cultural salons, markets etc. The Fest will take place again at Riverside Leisure Plaza in Langyuan Station, an open-air space that’s perfect for such a big event!

Brutal Fruit

This year’s Belt & Road Food Fest is sponsored by South African company Brutal Fruit, makers of ready-to-drink low-alcohol spritzers. Brutal Fruit have been going for over 20 years and is one of the leading brands in South Africa in their field. To create their spritzers they use real fruit juice and carefully selected Belgian imported yeast to bring rich floral and fruity notes to their drinks.

At the Fest, they’ll have two of their spritzes to choose from: Sparkling Ruby Apple and Sparkling Strawberry Rouge. Their spritzers are bright and bubbly, with subtle fruit flavors reminiscent of champagne.
