DISF commits additional 5-year support to Magic Bus Myanmar

At Dulwich College International, our vision is to create the best schools in the world so our students can make a positive difference. Our students participate in a range of service learning opportunities, from sustainability projects to participating in student-led service conferences in the region. Service learning forms an essential part of shaping character values that can alter the lives of our students and those they support.

Dulwich International Schools Foundation (DISF) was established with the mission to seed, mentor and activate organisations engaged in growing and strengthening the movement for educational and vocational equity and excellence.

The first initiative supported by DISF was the Magic Bus Myanmar, founded in 2016. Magic Bus Myanmar is wholly funded by the Foundation and provides an activity-based curriculum which has been developed over 20 years, since the founding of Magic Bus in India. The curriculum is tailored to the Myanmar context and works towards a world in which children break out of the cycle of poverty, leading fulfilling lives and contributing positively to their communities.

Dulwich College International is proud to commit additional funding to continue developing the programme over the next five years. The Magic Bus has already had an impact with over 1200 children participating in the life changing programme. This will now expand rapidly.

In addition, Dulwich International Schools Foundation has committed to sponsoring the building and running of five schools in remote and impoverished villages across Myanmar over the next five years, the first of which will open in 2019.

Dulwich College International and Dulwich International Schools Foundation is proud to support such a worthwhile cause, and continue to make a positive difference in the lives of these children.

为缅甸Magic Bus再提供5年支持

德威国际学校基金会支持的第一个项目是2016年设立的缅甸Magic Bus。自Magic Bus创立于印度之后，20多年来发展和提供基于活动的课程。缅甸Magic Bus在基金会的全资资助下，依据缅甸的具体国情定制课程，旨在帮助儿童摆脱贫困的处境，过上幸福生活，进而为社会做出积极的贡献。

德威国际教育集团已做出承诺继续提供资金支持，在未来五年里持续发展此项计划。Magic Bus已为参与该计划的1200多名儿童带来了积极影响，改变了他们的生活。如今该计划还在迅速发展壮大。

此外，德威国际学校基金会还承诺，在未来五年内他们将出资在缅甸多个偏远贫困乡村建设并运营五所学校。其中的第一所将于2019年开始招生。
