Output regulation of uncertain systems using extremum seeking control
报告摘要:
In many applications, systems are required to operate in unknown environments. For example, high altitude pseudo satellites and underwater autonomous vehicles are required to operate in unknown environments. For such systems, the ability to control and regulate is primarily related to the ability to overcome the impact of the unknown environment. Extremum seeking control methods are ideal to handle such problems. In this talk, we will present how extremum seeking control can achieve regulation to optimal conditions that are robust to the impact of exogenous variations. Specific application to high altitude pseudo satellites will be discussed.
报告人简介:
Dr. Martin Guay received his Ph.D. in 1996 from Queen's University. He is currently full professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Queen's University. Dr. Guay’s research interests are in the area of process control, control theory and applied statistics. Dr. Guay received Queen’s University Chancellor Research Award, the Premier Research Excellence Award, He also received the Syncrude Innovation Award and the D.G. Fisher Award from the Canadian Society of Chemical Engineers. He is fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada (FCIC). He is an Associate Editor for Automatica and the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Process Control and Senior Editor for the IEEE Control Systems Society Letters.
