我的作品关注如何通过艺术使日常生活产生陌生化的趣味，甚至转化为某种自我修养。驻留期间，我观察到重庆特殊的城市风格，本地艺术家不仅不严肃，而且相当接地气且乐观的。因此，我构想了“循环式曲水流觞”这个作品，它将一个古代的概念予以现代化，通过模组化的拼接方式，形成一个循环的流水装置，里头放入罐装啤酒。这个装置是我对古代概念的现代化回应（虽然没有什么实际的用处），是一个为古人而作的素描。
My work focuses on how to use art to make everyday life unfamiliar, and even transform it into a certain self-cultivation. During my residency, I observed Chongqing’s special urban style. Local artists are not serious academic followers, but quite down-to-earth and optimistic. Therefore, I conceived the work of "A Circulating Installation of Winding Stream Party", which modernized an ancient concept and formed a circulating water device through modular splicing, in which canned beer is placed. This installation is my modern response to ancient concepts (although it has no practical use), and a disegno(drawing/design) for the ancients.
简丽庭，1983年生于中国台湾台中市，工作和生活于西安。现为西安欧亚学院专职教师，兼从事策展、艺术评论与艺术创作等工作。主要关注前卫艺术对于艺术边界的探问与实践，以及伴随这些艺术实践的文献记录与展示机制等课题。
Jian Liting was born in 1983 in Taichung City, Taiwan, China, and lives and works in Xi'an now. He is a full-time teacher of Xi'an Eurasia University, also engaged in curatorial, art criticism and art creation. His research focus on the avant-garde art's exploration and practice on the boundaries of art, as well as the institution of documentation and display accompanying these artistic practices.
