艺术家方力钧(b.1963)于2023年5月17日至6月24日在金沙中国四季名荟旗下常设艺术空间金沙艺廊举行《方力钧陶瓷作品展》。此次展览展出中国当代艺术家方力钧近60件佳作,他所创作的皮肤造型陶瓷结构绵密却又吹弹可破,也让观众看到艺术家运用陶瓷这种艺术语言,在经典的光头形象以及艳俗色彩美学以外进行一场全新试验。

展览的主题「骨中骨,肉中肉」出自《创世纪》中神取出亚当的肋骨造成夏娃的故事,提示观众骨和肉是生命的源头,亦彰显了艺术家方力钧对生命真谛的深邃思考和创作进路

Artist Fang Lijun (b.1963)'s latest solo exhibition Fang Lijun Ceramic work Exhibition in the Grand Suites at Four Seasons, the permanent art space Sands Gallery Macao from May 17 to June 24, 2023. Through the display of nearly 60 manuscripts, videos, ceramic experimental installations from different periods, and the latest porcelain prints, the exhibition showcases his comprehensive creative vision in the ceramic medium, transcending standards and the process and outcomes of his creations.

The theme of this exhibition, "Bone of the Bone, Flesh of the Flesh," is derived from the story of God creating Eve with one of Adam's ribs in Genesis, which reminds us that bones and flesh are the origin of life. Densely structured and highly delicate, the ceramics created by Fang Lijun not only reveal his profound reflection upon the truth of life and his creative approach, but also enable us to see how the artist has used the artistic language of ceramics to start a brand-new experiment apart from his iconic bald-head image and flamboyant color aesthetics.

方力钧1963年生于河北邯郸,1989年毕业于中央美术学院版画系,后成为职业画家,现居北京。方力钧作为中国后八九新艺术潮流最重要的代表,与这个潮流的其它艺术家共同创造出一种独特的话语方式:“玩世现实主义”,并以1988年以来一系列作品中所塑造的“光头泼皮”形象,作为当代艺术的经典语符,呈现了上世纪80年代末至90年代上半期中国社会普遍存在的无聊情绪和泼皮幽默的生存状态,或者更广义地说它标志出了当代人的一种人文和心理感受。
方力钧曾在德国路德维希美术馆、德国国家美术馆、阿姆斯特丹城市美术馆、日本国际交流基金会、瑞士阿丽亚娜陶瓷博物馆、意大利都灵市立现代美术馆、澳门艺术博物馆、台北市立美术馆、香港艺术中心、上海美术馆、湖南省博物馆、北京民生现代美术馆等美术馆和画廊等重要机构举办过个展。参加威尼斯双年展、圣保罗双年展、光州双年展、上海双年展等众多群展。作品被纽约现代美术馆(MOMA)、蓬皮杜国家艺术中心、路德维希美术馆、旧金山现代美术馆、西雅图艺术博物馆、荷兰STEDELIJK博物馆、澳大利亚新南威尔士美术馆、澳大利亚昆士兰美术馆、福冈亚洲美术馆、东京都现代美术馆、日本广岛现代美术馆、中国美术馆、上海美术馆、广东美术馆、何香凝美术馆、湖南省博物馆、中央美院美术馆等众多公共机构收藏。

出版个人画册、图书《方力钧:编年记事》《方力钧:批评文集》《方力钧:作品图库》《方力钧:云端的悬崖》《方力钧:禁区》《方力钧版画》《像野狗一样生存》等56本。并被中央美术学院、四川美术学院、景德镇陶瓷大学、西安美术学院等23所国内大学聘为客座教授。1993年,作品《系列二之二》登上《纽约时报周刊》封面。

Fang Lijun was born in Handan, Hebei Province, China in 1963. He graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989, and later became a professional painter, and now lives in Beijing. As the most important representative of China’s post 89 new art trends, Fang Lijun created the discourse mode of "Cynical Realism" together with other artists of this trend, and created the image of "Shaved Head" created in a series of works since 1988, as a classic symbol of contemporary art, presenting the boring mood and the vicious living state of China in the first half of the 1980s and the 1990s, or more broadly speaking, it symbolizes the humanistic and psychological feelings of contemporary people. 

Fang Lijun has held exhibitions in major art institutions and galleries, including Ludwig Museum Koblenz, Staatliche Kunsthalle, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Japan Foundation, Ariana Museum in Geneva, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Turin, Macaw Museum of Art, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Shanghai Art Museum, Hunan Museum, Beijing Minsheng Art Museum and the etc. His participation includes the Venice Biennale, Sǎo Paulo Biennial, Kwangju Art Biennial, and Shanghai Biennial. His works are collected by The Museum of Modern Art (USA), Seattle Art Museum(USA), San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (USA), Centre de G. Pompidou (France), Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst (Germany), Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam(Holland), The National Gallery of Australia (Australia), Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (Japan), Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo(Japan), Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art(Japan), National Art Museum of China(China), Shanghai Art Museum (China), Guangdong Art Museum (China), He Xiangning Art Museum (China), Hunan Museum(China), CAFA Art Museum(China). He is one of the Chinese contemporary artists with the most extensive collection by major art institutions worldwide.

Fang Lijun has been invited as a visiting professor and graduate supervisor in 23 universities, including Central Academy of Fine Arts, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, Jingdezhen Ceramic University, Xi 'an Academy of Fine Arts, etc. In 1993, his painting "Series 2, No. 2" appeared on the cover of the New York Times Magazine.
