翻译练习（7）：Good Economics

上一期：翻译练习（6）：Economists’ Conundrum
先看上期的练习，原文如下：
This is the economists’ age-old plight, what is fleeting in economics is politically popular, whereas what is enduring in economics is politically unpopular. Hayek describes the economists’ conundrum as consisting of being called upon to consult with politicians on matters of pubic policy more often than any other social scientists, only to have their advice based on the principles of the science dismissed as soon as it is uttered.
参考译文：
这是经济学家长期以来的困境。经济学中的速朽思想受到政治上的欢迎，而持久的真理却遭到政治上的排斥。哈耶克将这种经济学家的难题构成描述为：经济学家比其他任何社会科学家都更频繁地被要求就公共政策问题与政治家们商议，但他们一旦基于这门科学的原则提出了建议，该建议马上就会被置之不理。
简要讲解：
1、参考译文略有文学色彩，不要轻易模仿。
2、what is fleeting：转瞬即逝的 what is enduring 持久的
3、only to do：却，只不过
4、the science：这门科学，指economics。根据上下文，这里的定冠词“the”需要翻译。（Hayek describes）the economists’ conundrum 同理也需要翻译“the” 。
重点词汇：
1.consult: ~(with) sb (about/on sth) to discuss sth with sb to get their permission for sth, or to help you make a decision
（与某人）商议，商量（以得到许可或帮助决策）
2.dismiss: ~sb/sth (as sth) to decide that sb/sth is not important and not worth thinking or talking about 不予考虑；摒弃；对…不屑一提

Good economics concentrates costs on decision makers in the short run and disperses benefits to the society as a whole in the long run, whereas good politics concentrates benefits on well-organized and well-informed interest groups in the short run, while dispersing costs on the ill-organized and ill-informed mass of voters in the long run.
