The Paralympic Games will be held from August 24 to Sept 5, 2021. The IOC also announced the date in a statement on its official website, saying it is a decision jointly made by the IOC, the IPC, the Tokyo organizing committee and the Tokyo Metropolitan government and the government of Japan after talks via telephone conference. The Olympics will still be called Tokyo 2020 despite taking place in 2021.
