Love conquers, no space for vacillation

A country with no need of heroes is a paradise, where the public devote themselves to their duties and family, people huddling together for warmth.
The corona virus continues to spread. In the extended long Spring Festival Holidays, the most precious item and also of the most urgent demand is face masks.
Due to the sudden outbreak of the epidemic and the closure of factories during the Festival, the supply of masks is in short. Looking for necessities and shopping for protection goods has become a daily routine for most people; where there are masks, there are people to purchase for circle of friends and family groups. Everyone is stirred up. Even so, masks have already become a hard-to-get commodity.
How can we help more people around us?
Some families in the BIBA community have suggested to purchase more masks and donate to those in greatest need.
This idea was responded to positively by the PTA. On February 15, the Public Welfare Group of the PTA held an engaging online meeting, discussing how to order masks and donations. In a collective effort, an emergency and heart-warming project soon came into being and an action plan immediately unfolded.
PTA Structure Tree Chart
On February 16, a group for receiving donations was selected. The PTA Public Welfare Group searched for masks of good quality, fast delivery, reasonable price and legal procurement. The effort paid off finally. They found the fastest delivery, the best quality and quantity products: 8,000 disposable surgical masks. Meanwhile, after consulting with the Shunyi Sub-Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the masks were donated directly to the nine police stations under the auspices of the Shunyi Bureau which are HouShayu Station, TianZhu Station, NanFaxin Station, NiuLanshan Station, MaPo Station, NanCai Station, ShengLi Station, LiSui Station and RenHe Station.

PTA representatives donating masks to the police officers and the BIBA staff 5,000 masks were packed in sets of 4,800 masks to be donated to eight Police Stations. The remaining 200 masks were donated to BIBA and distributed to teachers, cleaning staff and security guards who were on duty. Three PTA representatives went to each police station with the donation and all the police officers received the most needed masks in excitement and appreciation. A help in need is a help indeed. The NanCai Station specially wrote a thank-you letter to the PTA.

“Safeguarding public security and prosperity. No vacillation in the face of crisis.” A simple sentence represents many hearts of the BIBA community parents. You protect the public, we protect you. The family bond between the police and the citizens at this point has a profound meaning.
On Feb 20, the second batch of 3,000 masks arrived. 2,000 masks were delivered to the RenHe Station and 1,000 masks donated to BIBA as safety reserves when the school resumes.
On Feb 20, the second batch of 3,000 masks arrived. 2,000 masks were delivered to the RenHe Station and 1,000 masks donated to BIBA as safety reserves when the school resumes.
In five days, the PTA organized and purchased 8,000 disposable surgical masks with a donation of 6,800 masks to nine Police Stations and 1,200 masks to the BIBA School.
Life is full of ups and downs. Epidemics can isolate people but not pull apart the closeness between hearts. A little protective mask not only shows the love and hope of the BIBA community members but also epitomizes the touching scene of the Chinese people’s united efforts to build a solid barrier for the prevention and control of the epidemic. In the name of love, we never vacillate. There is always a solution to a problem. In our ordinary life, there are always some kind of love to help us and strengthen us. In great belief, we are all yearning for the arrival of Spring, the singing of larks in the fields and the long waited return to campus.
Along this path, thank you for your accompaniment. Thank you for hanging on in there in your post, and thank you for everyone’s silent sacrifice. Thank you, PTA. Thank you for every warm encounter.
A big shout out:
Great tributes paid to all the front-line-staff. Thank you for your perseverance in this time of crisis. At the same time thank you to all the kind hearted parents, teachers and students for joining hands to fight together with love and unity.
