在近期的一档《鲁豫有约》中，阿米尔·汗还谈到了自己亲身参与的一项“改善水资源缺乏”的公益活动。

这项致力于改善居民用水状况的公益活动已持续了四年，义务劳动者覆盖了4000个村落。

提起这个项目，这位全球知名的演员甚至将它称为“自己这辈子做的最重要的工作”。

“我觉得这可能是我这辈子做的最重要的工作。因为你会改变成千上万人的生活。如果这些村庄能解决用水问题，他们的生活将发生翻天覆地的变化。”

供水与住所工程师

Main responsibilities

As a Water and Habitat Engineer working for the ICRC, you will be responsible for the planning, design and implementation of engineering projects for victims of armed conflict. Working in a team, your tasks will include conducting needs assessments, surveying water and housing needs, negotiating with local authorities and firms regarding project implementation and handling all aspects of project management.

We are currently looking for engineers specialized in the water fields related to essential services in urban settings, able to assess, plan, design and supervise projects in those contexts. 

Desired profile ＆ skills

• Strongly motivated by humanitarian work

• Able to work under pressure in a potentially dangerous environment

• Minimum age 25

• Very good command of English. Fluency in another ICRC working language (French, Spanish, Russian or Arabic) is a strong asset

• University degree in architecture, civil or structural engineering, hydrology, hydraulic,  geology or related fields

• Minimum three years of professional experience in this field, including the management of technical  support staff

• Experience of working internationally is a strong asset, in particular for a humanitarian organization

• Proficient in the use of IT Office Tools and CAD drawing software. Knowledge of Epanet software is an asset

• Prepared to accept unaccompanied postings (i.e. no spouse, partner, children or dependents) for the first two missions (minimum 12 months each)

• Valid driving license for manual transmission vehicles

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent team leader, with a high level of intercultural understanding

• Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize a complex workload and to work autonomously as needed

• The hands-on approach to project management

Our operational ＆ field constraints

• In line with the principle of neutrality, the ICRC does not assign personnel to a country of which they are nationals

• Candidates must be in good health and will have to do a medical check-up prior to departure in the  field

• Candidates must possess a driving license (for manual transmission vehicles)

• Candidates must be prepared to accept unaccompanied postings (i.e. no spouse, partner, children or  dependents) for at least the first 24 months
