New Facebook ‘Like’ button lets you get more emotional
Like it or not, Facebook’s trademark[商标;标志] “Like” button is set to[被定在;被设为] get more expressive. The social network said on Thursday it is launching a pilot test[小规模试验;初步试验] of “Reactions,” which will allow users to express a wider range of emotions, including love, happiness, anger and sadness. The company said it would start the pilot in Ireland and Spain on iOS, Android and desktops, where the six new buttons appear as animated emoticons[动画表情] and pop up[弹出] when the “Like” button is long-pressed[长按].
As you can see, it’s not a “dislike” button, though we hope it addresses the spirit of this request more broadly.

However, the long-awaited “Dislike” button has yet to make an appearance. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said last month the social network was working on adding a button other than “Like” to express empathy[表达共情] on posts where a “Like” would not be the appropriate response. Not surprisingly, Zuckerberg’s comments prompted contrasting opinions[引发了截然不同的观点]: While some said they would use Facebook more if the button were introduced, others said it would lead to cyberbullying[网络欺凌] and more negativity[否定性;消极性] on the site.
