Thousands of Chinese worshippers crowded into a temple in the middle of the country on Saturday (Feb 9) to pay homage to the God of Wealth and pray for good fortune.

表示“敬神者;崇拜者”,英文解释为“someone who worships and performs religious ceremonies to a particular god or object”,如:devil/idol worshippers 魔鬼/偶像崇拜者。
pay homage to
homage表示“崇敬”,英文解释为“Homage is respect shown toward someone or something you admire, or to a person in authority.”举个🌰:
